The Google News Initiative and FT Strategies have formed a partnership to support sustainable quality journalism and help publishers build recurring revenue relationships with their audiences.
This collaboration enables both organisations to reach a larger number of publishers, big and small, and empower them with data analysis and skills to make effective decisions for their businesses.
To raise awareness of this partnership, along with its tools and programs, Google News Initiative & FT Strategies tasked Alpha Grid with the organisation of their first in person bespoke event.
Alpha Grid successfully produced a one-day event for over 250 publishers in EMEA.
The event was invitation-only and featured an inspiring agenda that tackled industry trends and issues with high-profile speakers from across the news media industry, such as the Financial Times’ John Ridding, the News York Times’ Jonathan Knight, BBC’s Toyosi Ogunseye, and many more.
We were responsible for the end-to-end event production, which included developing the event agenda, selecting the venue and speakers, designing the visual identity, managing delegate communications & speaker outreach.
We also printed & installed all of the event assets and signage, produced and executed a social media strategy.
Finally, we were responsible for the video production of the event (including post-production) and we put together a pop-up newsroom for delegate & speaker interviews.
Our expertise and attention to detail ensured that the event ran seamlessly and was well-received by all attendees.
